Line Count Definition
Line counting in M2 is calculated by converting the document to plain text then dividing the number of characters by 65.
What is a character?
It is any typed letter, number, space, punctuation mark, apostrophe, quote, etc. Characters that you cannot really see (like spaces or carriage returns) are represented internally in the text document and are counted.
| Letter, number, symbol, punctuation |
1
Character |
| Bold, Capital, Italics, Underline |
| Indent, Carriage Return, Space between words |
Note: Other companies charge 2 character for Bolding, Capitals, Italics, Indent, etc. but we count that as ONE character. In essence we take the complete typed character count of a report and divide it by 65 thus the billing is only for the actual typed characters.
